![]() It makes no sense because they could have used a little better parts and epoxied the diode in place and charged a little more them and they could have been an excellent red dot sight. The made in Japan AP copies cost more and are suppose to be made very durable. ![]() The real AimPoint sights are a very simple design and are made very similar but made with more durable parts. Most of these sights will give good service for awhile but won't last under heavy service. The diode held in the slot by black electrical tape only. It has a internal polymer tube which has slot for the diode. The connections, switch, leaf springs, wires & diode are all cheap parts. I have seen pictures of the inside of these sights. The tube, lens, lens covers and the mounts that come with sight are all well made. I owned a AP copy and was fooled by them also. The made in China AP copies appear to be well made but looks and feel can be deceiving.
